Sign up to walk, today!
On November 17, 2024, at 3 PM, Tuscaloosa is hosting West Alabama’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Randall Family Park.
“The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is important to me because it raises awareness about the profound emotional toll this disease takes on those diagnosed, their families, and caregivers. My beloved grandfather, whom I called Poppop, was diagnosed in 2018, and with each passing day, he became a shadow of the vibrant man we once knew as our precious memories slowly slipped away. By supporting the fight against Alzheimer’s, I honor Poppop’s spirit and the cherished moments we created together,” says Emmy Pradat, Director of Operations at The Gray Group, Keller Williams Realty Tuscaloosa.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, held annually in over 600 communities nationwide. This event invites participants of all ages and abilities to unite in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. While registration for the Walk is free, participants are encouraged to raise vital funds to support 24/7 care and advance research toward prevention and treatment.
Registration begins at 2 PM on the day of the event, but you can also register in advance on the Alzheimer’s Association website. If you can’t make it to the event, you can still show your support by donating here.

The Alzheimer’s Association, founded in 1980 by family caregivers and researchers, is the leading organization for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, with headquarters in Chicago and offices in Washington, D.C.
